It’s down to the final five in the search for an artist to deliver an Urban Oasis in the heart of the Gold Coast’s bustling tourist precinct.
The independent jury selected the five finalists out of a local, national and international pool of more than 50 submissions.
The final artwork is expected to reflect the character of the Gold Coast and our subtropical abundance. It will engage the audience and ignite the imagination of both locals and visitors.
Picking up on the theme Urban Oasis this significant public art project will mark the pivot point between our vibrant nightlife in Surfers Paradise and our city’s cultural heart – the cultural precinct in Evandale.
